Photona is a show put on by the lighting department every year where we divide into teams to design and program pieces. My team, "Azure" used the song "Cry Me a River" by Justin Timberlake. We decided to use MA3 for the show this year, a first for the department. I had only just started learning MA in class this semester so programming this piece was a big challenge. Using a new console was a great experience and I was proud to busk this piece live during the show.
As the graduating class we worked together to design a plot everyone was happy with and reach out to sponsors to help us make our dream a reality. Additionally I was the Electrics Shop Foreman and was in charge of scheduling the crew making sure that everyone worked fair hours while still giving each team the labor they needed. I also took on the role of marketing which included taking care of advertising, creating programs, senior profiles and spotlights, and helping to manage the livestream. A whole lot of work went into making this production possible and we are all incredibly proud of how it turned out.
